The Varmilo VA87M Beijing Opera also stands out from the majority of mechanical keyboards with its eye-catching keycaps. Especially for experienced users who have already developed a taste for mechanical switches and are not deterred by using shortcuts for macros or LED configuration, this keyboard can prove to be a real gold mine. Varmilo pays special attention to the inner workings and refines the typing feel with details such as a shock-absorbing foam mat and additionally greased stabilizers. The design on this keyboard is top-tier. The designers put in so much effort into the keycaps and even the casing, to make the overall board look very thematic and aesthetic. Most prominent would be the spacebar, which has the largest print on the keyboard. The others include the arrow keys, Fn and Start Button, Esc key, as well as the Shift and Enter keys. The use of colour also flows really well from zone to zone. If you’re into RGB lighting on your keyboard, I apologize, the Varmilo Beijing Opera aren’t for you. Varmilo wants to show off its design and RGB should not get in the way of it. The Varmilo Beijing Opera come with braided miniUSB. They are of decent length and should reach your desktop just fine. It’s nice that the cables are braided too for extra protection.
